There's never a "good " time to lose a fuel or water pump...... I've had to do the whack a mole deal before, on a starter and a fuel pump. Also had to Park a square body suburban downhill on a swap meet road trip so it would be sure to start so l could get it home and fix it. At least on the old trucks you could do it in an hour on the side of the road if you had to (done that on my other square body Burb). Modern technology usually simplifies our lives but not always...... just my 2 cents, good luck with your truck!
