A good buddy of mine has been talking about putting brakes on his truck for over a month now finally said quite talking about it ill help you lets do it. That is about as far as it got, He has an 88 single cab swb 350 5spd 4x4 truck its the w/t if that matters. We went down to the friendly neighborhood advanced told them we needed pads and rotors for the front and were on out way got to putting it all together and it will not fit the caliper will not go on any way you try. Thought maybe they gave us the wrong rotors went back they were right tried to find diff ones for v6 and everything in between and nothing will work. What in the world does he need any ideas guys?

What do you mean the calipers will not go on? Will they just not fit back over the rotor? Mounting holes wrong? If just wont fit over the rotor, did you push the caliper piston all the way back in to the caliper?

Top of the caliper goes in first & under the little tabs on the mount. Can be a bit of a pain sometimes. And yea, make sure the piston is all the way in. A c-clamp will work, or vise grips with the big 'C' type jaws. Take the cap off of the M-cylinder when you do that.
There are 2 different sizes (thickness) of rotors for 2whl. dr.'s, depending on the year. Don't know if it's the same for the 4X4's.
