i have the older 88-94 dash and i mounted it on the floor.
Dual firesticks on the front bed stake mounts in the interior of the bed.

Thats an older pic. There's a 7" touchscreen in the square opening. The buttons underneath the set are for my TS DX250. I really need to get a current pic one of these days.....

That's a photochop of a possible future for my dash. Haven't decided yet. Thats not my truck, just a bunch of pics I grabbed off the net rolled together to get an idea of the concept.

I have two antenna mounts. One in the center of the roof for dx'ing:

Great white, how well has the mount on your shell worked for you. I have been looking at getting one but have concerns about damage to the shell from wind load on the antenna. To the op, mine is located same as yours. Seams to be the most common place.

I've been debating getting a small CB and sticking it where the stock CD player goes since I got an aftermarket radio but not sure how I'd do the antenna(s)
