For pickups, otherwise Burbs, other SUVs, and 3500HD were up to 2000.I think 1998 was the final year for the GMT400.

the gmt400 lived on until 2002 with the 3500HD (cab and chassis models only)there also absolutely is 1999 c/k 1500 but production numbers are very low.
Yea, a 99 classic. I had a coworker with a 2000 2500 crew cab. He had the same issue. He had to ask for parts for a 98. His truck was a GMT 400. It looked just like a crew cab version of my 97. Even had a 5.7L Vortec.I knew about those but I have come across more than one 1999 c/k1500. people were telling the one guy he didnt know what year his own truck was... it was absolutely built in 1999 for the 1999 year and was a k1500. it may have been ordered but I dont remember that part. buddy had to order parts for a 1998 and no one at a parts store believed him so he just started saying 1998....
wonder if that wasnt contractual or something.seems odd that there would be 2002 gmt 400 C&C unless they still had small block vortecs as well(or big blocks) that may not have been used in the gmt800 with the LS platform?the gmt400 lived on until 2002 with the 3500HD (cab and chassis models only)
My 2001 has the 8100 vortec (or gen7 bigblock) and dual cats. A lot of the parts descriptions call it a "carryover" model. Also, technically it's a GMT455... not a 400wonder if that wasnt contractual or something.seems odd that there would be 2002 gmt 400 C&C unless they still had small block vortecs as well(or big blocks) that may not have been used in the gmt800 with the LS platform?
Unless GM was taking advtantage of 2004 deadline for OBD2 100% compliance for "Heavy duty" light duty trucks, where they could have low volume no cat converters maybe. An LS vehicle would probably not have any programming made for no converters emissions while a vortec would have calibrations still.
