Hi, I'm new here, and I'll into myself sometime soon, if that's OK... and could a mod edit my year (above) to '95? My error

I have a '95 Sub, K2500 4x4 and I went for a wheel alignment, and after the tech said all the front end was OK, he set it up on the rack, and after all the time putting on the gizmos that send the info to the computer, he tells the service girl I need a camber caster kit. He was already gone for the day, but I looked at the upper control arms, and it appears the offset washers are already in place. One would expect after 249k that an alignment would have been done already, and the necessary upgrade done???

I made a video of the truck, and here are some pix I took of my (grease/Fluid Film) rustproofed Sub, and another '94 I have, 260k, also 3/4 t 4x4 and no rustproofing.

I read an archived post on this forum about the kit, the knockouts etc, but am still not clear what the deal is. BTW, I was an ASE mech many years ago.

I'm confused now....so if your burb needs a cam/cas kit maybe what you have now needs to be replaced, maybe worn washers, bolt, nut.I can't imagine any new vehicle not having a way to do a proper alignment. If there was no way to do an adjustment when new are they(GM)saying the alignment is perfect and doesn't need to be adjusted?

BTW we have the same burb, love mine :waytogo:

It seems i just got the "official" welcome from the admin... So I didn't know you had replied, sorry.

I'm just as confused, and never heard back from the Alignment shop, and I called 3 times to speak w the tech and clarify why if I have what looks like alignment ovals, why I need a kit.

I have 3 of these Subs, all from Phoenix 4x4 3/4 ton, a white one getting a replacement engine after an oil line clip fell off, and a red one i just brot back in November, they will both be for sale soon, and the green one is nick-named TurboWeasel. that one is Mrs, and she'd prefer an Acura MDX...

My DD is an '84 from San Fransisco 5 years ago. It's much noisier and ruff riding, but so much simpler and easier to fix. The white '86 was from Las Vegas, sold it, and the black '91 was from San Diego, my only gas, sold it. The K5 is from Oregon, I put 235 miles on it last year, obviously my plow truck
