Yep, cleaning the poppets can help, but replacing it with the upgraded version with mini injectors will save you trouble in the future...its a fairly expensive part though so make sure that's the problem before just throwing money at it, is your truck throwing any codes?

Yeah, check your codes. Odds are its your fuel pump-but check your filter too.

Another thing I've seen done with the upgraded injectors, is they offer a "marine injector" upgrade. If it's like any other marine parts upgrade, it's probably higher flowing and would most likely require a tune. But it certainly sounds like a fun option!

I'll look for it, I overheard a manager at the gmc dealership telling a guy about it, he had a 97 in the bay next to my 96. That's the only info I know about it, but I'll ask the manager about it when i get back, he's gotta finish the front end on my truck anyways. but i'll check online too, i'd guess just lookup marine spider or something lol

Only thing I've found yet, is stock injectors being 19lb and marine being 24lbs, also the intake manifold is seemingly different along with needing a different tune like I figured. Is this something different than the marine intake manifold swap? Sounds like the same thing
