I picked up a set of 22” GM transport wheels and I am wanting to see pictures of people that have them on OBS trucks with a 5/7 drop.
I found a few pictures online but they are on bagged trucks. I just don’t want them to be too big looking for my truck if they are I am going to trade them for a set of 20 inch wheels or sell them. I have a 94 extended cab truck with 6 lug conversion. Thanks

I like the look of them but if your state(TX) does yearly inspections still the transport wheels are not DOT approved. They are suppose to be returned as cores to get reused.

All four of my wheels are stamped DOT.
Then either they're not transports, or someone stamped them.
I'm 100% sure these wheels are not road legal. It's why you can't buy them from GM.

I don't have a picture of them on an obs, only on a square, but the drop is about a 5/7

Here’s a picture of the wheels and a close up of the Manufacture and build date and DOT info.

If they were actually DOT approved they would have a part number(8-digits) stamped in it or on a sticker, but since there is no part number they are not a serviced component and don't get DOT approval.

I have looked in the engineering system at work and we have a non serviceable component designation on the transport wheels because they are not approved for road use.

Interesting...I'll have to look at our sets more closely. Maybe I missed it. Also I thought ours were 22x9, yours seem to say 22x8?

I googled DOT regulations and copied and pasted this from the website

Rim Information

The DOT requires each tire's rim or wheel disc to be marked with certain information for identification purposes. According to DOT regulation 571.120, the rim should be marked with the source of the rim and its size. The rim must also be marked "DOT" to indicate that it complies with DOT regulations. The date of manufacture should also be marked, either by use of a symbol or numerals.

And my wheels have all that correct info to be DOT Approved then.

Yeah, I googled that same info. If it's accurate, why would they have come with the stickers on them saying they're not for road use?
