Alternator wiring question

Hey guys, I've just picked up a 95 k1500, while cleaning up under the hood, I noticed the yellow wire coming from the plug on the alt has been cut off near the battery/pass fender. I can't locate the other half. Does anybody know what or where that wire goes to?

Should be fer yer alt gauge.

Alt gauge is working, think the smaller red wire coming out of the same plugin as the yellow one runs that.
