96 K1500 dash cluster issues

The light for my left turn signal and the blue highbean light stays on. When I engage the left turn signal both lights flash and the tach needle keeps time with the flash. The shift indicator light is now stuck on reverse.

The truck cranks, shifts and runs fine.

I switched the cluster from my 99 tahoe in and had the same results. I also switched in the turn signal flasher from the Tahoe and it made no difference.

I assume this is some kind of ground problem maybe. The ground under the dash on the drivers side looks good. Battery is grounded.

How do I start chasing this down?

Update. Checked/cleaned/replaced grounds. Replaced multi-turn switch. Hazards now work, but still have the same issue with the left turn signal light staying on and blue high beam light staying on. The "R" on the transmission indicator stays lit. All three pulsate when the left turn signal is engaged.

Everything outside works as it should
