96 GMC HVAC question ?

It sounds like the hvac controller for the flap is going crazy off and back on again constantly ? Makin the same sound as when you change from floor vent to dash vents. Everything seems to still be working as far as vents and ac and once I saw the Rec button light flicker but stays on now when its engaged like its supposed too. I am wondering if this is in the switch ? I replaced it about 8 months ago and worked fine till today? Anyone had this problem ?

Recirculation blend door actuator. Pretty common failure. We should have a write up here explaining how to replace it.

Might consider replacing the mode and temp actuators while you're at it. They don't fail quite as often, but they still suffer from the same defect. The plastic gear that is pressed on to a splined metal shaft ends up cracking.
