Not the way I wanted to make my first post, so I apologize.

I've got a 92 C1500. Factory Am/FM w/ center mounted cassette player.

Like a knuckle head I cut the wires at the radio and cassette player instead of taking my time and finding that the harness plugs in below the dash. So I'm ready to put a cd player in. I've got the adapter to put it in the center of the dash as well as the cubby to replace the factory radio.

Here are some questions I have.

Do I have to bypass what I assume is the factory amp (where the two plugs were connected?)

Can I just splice into the wires I cut?

Where can I find a wiring diagram for the 1992 chevys?

TIA.

If I remember right those wiring harnesses come out completely but don't quote me on that.

Yes, the main wires going into the factory amp connect to the wiring harness plug for your install kit.

Can I just splice into the wires I cut?

No.....maybe.
