Stoked to see this thing get a heart transplant 6.3mpg! Nice! lol, should be night and day difference with a 5.3..
Going from the 305 TBI to 350 Vortec netted me an extra 6-8 mpg lol.

Hes had the jesters for quite some time, i believe atleast 1.5 yrs

I have been thinking the same way. My motor hasn't gone yet (knock on wood) but I wasn't sure what route to go. Glad to hear you made up your mind. Only thing I don't get is how you get 6 mpg's. I have the same tbi motor and I get 10mpg
