4L60E to nv3500

Alrighty this is gonna be a long one .
Well I blew up the 4.3 in my 96 Chevy k1500 with the nv3500
Bought a 5.7 motor out of a 98 Chevy k1500 automatic
Installed motor easiest parts everything bolted right together
Now my issue is this I’m using the 98 k1500 wiring harness in my 96 k1500
What do y’all recommend doing for the wiring of the transmission and vss stuff
I already went ahead and did the 411 pcm swap using the 98 harness with the trans turned off on it
Truck will crank but no start my oil and fuel gauge are pegged out what am I missing

I can't speak knowledgeably on the wiring differences between a '96 and '98, but bare wires jammed into connectors are crap for anything more than troubleshooting. Either splice them into the harness on the other side of that connector, or make an adapter to go between the connectors that breaks those two out. That will eliminate two potential problems.

I have the wire jammed in to see which wire is the safety neutral switch do you by chance know any good wiring diagrams for the nv3500 and 4l60E

hey i have a 1992 c2500 6.5 diesel i rebuilt the transmission because i was getting a hard shift 1st to 2nd it was reduced after rebuild
but still shifts hard 1st to 2nd i was told it could be a valve body is that true?
