454 turbo size

Okay, so I’ve been looking around everywhere for turbo sizing on a 454. I’ve heard as low as a 72mm and as big as a 95mm but nobody talks about what they’re good for. I’m looking for a good midrange single turbo size for a 454 that’ll perform well and not be out of its efficiency range. Anyone have any info and/or turbo’d a 454 themselves?

Well the answer is it depends. Can you read a compressor map? Compressor wheel diameter is only part of the equation.

yes, but I don’t quite understand how to figure it out for a rev range

CFM and VE are what you need for that.
