So im fiximg to fix all my problem with this tbi. My brother sold me his 97 1500 with the 350 CPI 4l60e. I wanna swap it in my 95. The engine and trans has 36k since we overhauled both. The 97 just wrecked. What all do I need to swap from the 97 to the 95

Pretty much everything. Engine/trans, wiring harness, computer, will need the dash wiring and cluster too short of you splicing the harness’. Also the fuel pump, and fuel lines.

I'm good at electrical work if I'm able to get the pin outs. Witch luckily google had so I may just splice the dash harness

Could I just bolt the 97 heads and intake on my 95 block?

The heads will bolt on fine, your tbi intake will not go on the vortec heads. The vortec Intake will not work with the 95 tbi unit, or the electronics.

So your choice (and easiest option) would be to either drop the heads on the tbi block, or drop the 97 engine in(without the intake). Then purchase an aftermarket carbureted vortec intake, put a tbi adapter on it and run the 95 tbi and electronics.

As previously stated, you'll need to swap all the wiring over. Also, the only lines you need to swap are the 2 front most sections, from the filter forward. Unless it's a late 97, then you'll want to swap tanks and pump harnesses. Are the 2 trucks both the same configuration for cab style and bed length?

Well that makes things much easier, no matter how much crap you have to swap over you have it. And they're TX trucks I assume so no rust to deal with either.

Eh just surface rust. Question though do I need the tbi pushrods or the CPI pushrods for the valves?
