If you show up at a body shop with the 800 and 400 hood you want to combine and give even the most basic of explanations they will get it done.
IE: I want that hood skin on that hood so it looks like this picture.
Be prepared to open your wallet fairly wide.
Yeah when it comes to something like a hood it's a simple concept. The execution can take a turn for the worse but if you buy a hood that you like that fits an 800 the skin will be removed and grafted on to the 400 hood frame and blended in to fit the alignment of the 400 fenders and grille. Any body shop will know what to do. You will get an 800 hood skin on a 400 hood frame. You won't have the drivers side 400 style cowl with the 800 style on the passenger side.
To make this easier......
800 hood
You want them to take this hood skin
You must be registered for see images attach
And put it onto this hood subframe
400 sub frame
You must be registered for see images attach
And make it look like this
You must be registered for see images
