1996 Chevrolet K2500 extended cab long box
Cheyenne trim, manual windows, locks, transfer case, basic 60/40 bench, blue interior

Vortec 5.7
4L80E
14 bolt SF 8-lug rear
4.10s
Approx. 244'000 kms when purchased.

Stock. Had a crappy "cold air intake", dual straight pipes to a Y, into a single Dynomax with stock tailpipe and slashed tip. Tires are 265/75R16 Kelly Safari TSR and came on the truck, with a matching spare.
Bought it and drove it home on September 11th 2012, to replace my 1996 K1500 that had a broken frame and spun a bearing.

First pictures I saw of it:

Got it home, yanked the boxliner and put a rubber mat in I had:

Removed the half-built push bumper godawful mess the P.O. *welded* (I kid you not) to the frame with a chrome smoothie I had kicking around, and yanked the rusted out driver's side fender (passenger side had already been replaced):

Fender and bumper installed:

Fender flares put on the front, and a proper license plate bracket:

Straightened front bumper and installed towhooks

Removed stickers the previous owner had on almost every window, painted the top sides of the box and installed the custom backrack off my old truck:

Done a couple really minor mechanical repairs (oil cooler lines, alternator, fuel pump, which cost me a grand total of $7.80. It's great to have parts trucks at your disposal).

To celebrate the world not ending on December 21st, on the 22nd I installed a new driver's side door. Didn't bother to take a picture of the new door because it looks exactly the same as my old one, only not rusted out. It was power everything so I had to swap all the guts over from my old door to make it work. Also installed a lock cylinder that matched a key I have so now I can lock the truck.

Also replaced the mirrors

Installed new front brakes, and the dash out of my old truck. Ultimately I plan on going with either a factory grey interior or painting the whole thing black. This one I painted black with air vents out of a beige truck. No particular reason for the different colours, but I can switch it up every once in awhile because I tend to get bored with things staying the same for any length of time.
Also threw in a set of not quite so worn out grey 60/40s, with the flip down arm rest deal, and cd player out of my old truck
