Talking to a guy with another nv3500 as we speak and I'm hopeful that I can buy it tonight. I know I need a new slave cylinder, throwout bearing, and probably clutch. All **** I get to do twice.

Yeah I'm pretty pissed about it. All that work to get 6 miles out of it. I did mount a gopro to the windshield for the first drive! I'll publish that video at some point.

Tomorrow's plan:

Wake up early, pull a true nv3500 from pick n pull, buy a new slave cylinder and clutch kit including new fluid and swap it all out. Should be pretty quick.

I will say this truck idles great now. Alternator works, has normal Chevy oil pressure, and it doesn't get all that hot. Hell the odometer and trip meter work!

Best part - no check engine light whatsoever. It didn't even come on when we were driving it yesterday.

It's 5am right now, I'm gathering tools so I can be at pick n pull when they open at 8am. I want this thing going this afternoon.

Found my nv3500. The guy I was talking to wanted $400 for one. So **** him I'd rather spend $100 at pick n pull for one. True nv3500 not a 5LM60.

It's out! Taking a trip with purple power for sure. If there is one thing I do, it's fix the problem within 24 hours! I am hopeful with this transmission, has no slop when in gear.

This thing was a greasy pig. Cleaned most of it off.

I also took the newer pedal covers off of the same truck I got the transmission from. I think they look nicer than the original ones.
