I’ve tried to search this specific combo but I’m not coming up with much luck.
I just picked up a bone stock 1991 C1500 RCSB. It will be getting a 2/4 drop (spindles/hangers/shackles).
Years ago, I had a buddy with a 1996 C1500 RCSB Choo Choo Edition. The truck conversion came with the 2/4 drop, 15x10 wheels, and 275/60r15’s. Eventually, he wanted a smaller wheel setup so he went with a 15x8 Torq Thrust style wheel with gray centers. I’m pretty sure they were the D series, but we can’t recall.
Anyway, I’d like to go with the same style wheel on this truck. Looking at the American Racing website, they list a 15x10 Torq Thrust D - however, the only available backspace in the 5x127 bolt pattern is 3.75. I’m assuming this will make the wheels stick out a bit like the original 15x10 wheels did? Any foreseeable issues with this? I’m guessing with the lower backspacing, I likely won’t have control arm clearance issues.
