I’ve tried to search this specific combo but I’m not coming up with much luck.

I just picked up a bone stock 1991 C1500 RCSB. It will be getting a 2/4 drop (spindles/hangers/shackles).

Years ago, I had a buddy with a 1996 C1500 RCSB Choo Choo Edition. The truck conversion came with the 2/4 drop, 15x10 wheels, and 275/60r15’s. Eventually, he wanted a smaller wheel setup so he went with a 15x8 Torq Thrust style wheel with gray centers. I’m pretty sure they were the D series, but we can’t recall.

Anyway, I’d like to go with the same style wheel on this truck. Looking at the American Racing website, they list a 15x10 Torq Thrust D - however, the only available backspace in the 5x127 bolt pattern is 3.75. I’m assuming this will make the wheels stick out a bit like the original 15x10 wheels did? Any foreseeable issues with this? I’m guessing with the lower backspacing, I likely won’t have control arm clearance issues.

Nobody? I’m also curious how the 15x10 3.75” BS fits. I’m thinking that was possibly the Choo Choo Customs original spec.

15 x 10 center lines 5.5 bs rear with 325/50. 15 x 8 front with 4.5 bs. Rears we’re out a little but would be fine with a 295. I was running a rear coil over but outside the frame so pretty much same clearance as a leaf spring.

Ohio, sometimes
A buddy and I had one with 15x10's, I *think* they had the 3.75" backspacing. 295/50 tires. It was lowered a couple inches in the rear only. By the looks of it, 275's would fit fine if the truck were 2" lower.

Man, I’m almost thinking it was a 0/2 drop now. I’ve seen a couple 2/4’s that look lower than what I remember…
