WANTED: Garnet Red Bench or 60/40 Seat

No worries... I ended up selling the bench. FYI though I freighted it out on Greyhound for $70 from MN to WV. Which is not a bad deal at all. I was also able to pack in a bunch of other parts the guy wanted as well.

New Transmission Sucks!

I have had to deal with Jasper before too and yeah it was a hell of a fight. In the end I got my replacement engine but had to do the de-install, let them take then engine for testing, evaluate to let me know if it was something they would normally cover and then give me an engine back for me to...

Love the Blazer growing up we had an 85 full size jimmy... Loved that thing. I wish you could still find them but they are far and few between.

this is a shame to waste such a nice truck.

Callin me out! It would be a tough time to convince the wife to park our 2013's on the street in the Minneapolis winter to make room for a couple old "Non-running" trucks. That is more matrimonial debt than I want to undertake at this time ;-) So I should rephrase.... once I have the engine...

New Transmission Sucks!

I have had three rebuilds installed in my truck... nothing but problems everytime. I swore that next time I deal with it I was going to pull it myself and install a "built" transmission from someone like monster transmission. I don't trust the tranny shops or the junk rebuilds they buy.

new guy with squealing belt question

I had a similar issue after I replaced my PS pump. I hadn't pressed the pulley on far enough causing the belt to squeal. Once I got the puller back on there it only needed 2 turns of the wrench and it was on far enough. Maybe this is the case with one of the other pulleys you installed.

I would be all over that and transplant the rebuilt 350 out of my k2500... Right now I just have a truck doing nothing.

Windshield Wiper malfunctioning

I have a 91 and the only wiper problems I ever had were fixed by replacing the motor and control unit with brand new.... never had any problems since (knock on wood)

How to access rear speakers for replacement?

I replaced those when I threw dynamat in my cab... I remember thinking this would be a serious pain if I had not pulled the entire interior. So I was thinking that if I did have to dig in there again I thought maybe about cutting out around the speakers with a dremel and buying some aftermarket...

heater problem

My truck is a 91 but I had the same kind of issue.... ended up replacing the heater core. 30 min job in my 91 it might be a bit harder in the newer trucks though.

Heater goes "tick,tick,tick,tick,tick"

I had the same issue on my 91... I had to remove the heater core box (I was replacing the heater core anyway) and was able to get in there to change it out... about an hour of work. I ended up leaving one of the mounting screws out though it was just easier that way.

WOW!!!!! BIG LOAD

Wow that is pretty cool... when I bought my 91 K2500 the previous owner was a church and they used it to haul a 20,000lb mobile church... needless to say my transmission did not last too long.

need advice on gear ratios for towing with 89 GMC 2500

My 91 2500 ran a ton better with advanced timing as well. I have heard quite a bit about the TBI mods but haven't been able to try those out. After doing the mods my truck broke down so I decided to shut the whole operation down.
