    Cylinder Compression

I would be hoping to hear air movement thru the valves (intake or exhaust ) or thru the crankshaft area if going by the rings, or if you have long block together , thru intake or exhaust port at cylinder head or lower area of engine, I've never tried that with oil pan installed think it would be...

    Cylinder Compression

If problem seems to be on #1 and #8 , then back valves adjustment on those 2 cylinders, leave spark plugs out, rotate crankshaft , air should just be flowing thru sparkplug hole , if stillno air flow (compression) install spark plug for that cylinder , air will either come out around rings or...

    1994 k1500 wild misfire

First question on last post, OE never used rtv on throttle body or gasket, just clean flat surfaces, if you have areas that are not flat then could be from improper removal of gasket or debris, you can fill areas that aren't flat but remove excess so you will have flat surfaces. Second question...

Hello my cheyenne 97 idle rough and accelerate poorly. At idle it sound like it as a cam in it.

Having good information is key to being able to figure out problems with your vehicle, oe manuals do this because they give key information for service technicians fixing there vehicles. OEM don't like paying techs for swag repair and techs don't like to work on comebacks, you don't make money...

    IAC counts high

I'm glad you found your problem (s). So some of what was going on was due to setup in your programming ? I'm totally stupid on that , is there a sticky on it ? Would it help with stock engine setup or is it more for performance setups ? Just wondering if it would help efficiency of stock power...

5.7 Vortec intermittent long crank --> crank no start, backfires, clunking

Your fuel is fine all you have going on there is slight pressure drop . Your most likely cause for intermittent long crank is voltage drop most likely across relay contacts . Slight pressure drop over long period of time, but fuel pressure at time of cranking in spec.
