    C10 wheels/lug nuts

That's interesting....I'd think most people would "upgrade" to some aftermarket alloys.

    C10 wheels/lug nuts

Found a set here in Mich on ebay. Waiting on the payday to see if I can snag them up. He listed the wheels and the caps/rings separately :/

    C10 wheels/lug nuts

They fit over the 14mm studs no problem? I'd think the lug nut taper is what centers the wheel, right?

    C10 wheels/lug nuts

I have not....haven't got the wheels yet. Just needed to know what size lug nuts were needed.

    C10 wheels/lug nuts

So, a chrome M14 acorn style lug nut is what I'd need?

    C10 wheels/lug nuts

My '90 2wd has 1994 alloy wheels on it, where it originally came with the 4 hole steel wheels and snap on center caps (like in pic 1 which I borrowed from a members post.) I'd like to put 80's 15x7 C10 wheels and caps on (see pic 2.) What size/style chrome lug nuts do I need for...

    T-stat housing bolts

Been a while but here's the update: We broke the bolts clean off into the intake. Tried to drill and extract. Fail fail fail. Long story short, got a clean Yukon GT intake for $20 from a car community friend, and installed it. New intake gaskets and TBI gasket was a bonus. Also found out my 350...

Door Hinge Pins & Bushings, Cunningham Machine vs. New Greaseable GM?

To clarify after reading thru the posts....you are using Dorkman pins and the Cunningham bushings? I just went thru the hassle of installing the Dorkman stuff today and my friend and I were appalled that the bushing crumbled apart as soon as we set the door back on to line it up...

Door Hinge Pins & Bushings, Cunningham Machine vs. New Greaseable GM?

Do you have a link for those? My door panels are missing them already.

    T-stat housing bolts

Mine are not thru holes....they are indeed blind.

    T-stat housing bolts

We tried that too. Today's update is: failure was inevitable as paragon mentioned, and I got a better looking stock intake from a coworker's friend for $20. All new gaskets were ordered and the boys at work will be swapping it out for me by Friday. The good news is, this will allow...

    T-stat housing bolts

Well, I tried everything I could think of and got a whole bunch of advice from other folks, and everything failed. Both bolts are broken off now, and the truck is at work over the weekend. We used heat, all kinds of penetrating oils, vibration, etc. Even tried welding nuts to the exposed...

    T-stat housing bolts

Good morning, I'm at work today off the clock to finally replace my thermostat. My issue is, the housing bolts are mega tight. I've been applying a good amount of force with my long handle ratchet and they won't break loose. Since the intake is aluminum, I'm afraid of breaking a bolt off or...

    Vortec Thermostat Experiment

Yes. I ended up ordering a GM replacement right from the dealership I work at. My parts manager said don't waste time with the "junk" aftermarket ones. Now I just need time to install it! As long as it works and lasts a long time, I'll be happy. The rest of my cooling system...

    Vortec Thermostat Experiment

With this information, it appears there would be no benefit to a high flow stat for my all stock TBI engine? I've been reading reviews, trying to make a selection for a quality 195 degree stat for my '90.

HVAC Control Head in dash--multiple issues (Mostly fixed)

Schurkey, you're the man. I went to the yard today and found a 1993 HVAC head. It had a broken button, so I just swapped in one from the old head and cleaned the crap out of everything. It works perfectly now. The backlighting doesn't seem to work but hey....I'll deal with it later...

HVAC Control Head in dash--multiple issues (Mostly fixed)

Good idea. Sometimes the lighting flickers a little while running....I have a bad feeling about the alternator TBH.

HVAC Control Head in dash--multiple issues (Mostly fixed)

Took the glovebox out and I believe I found the connector. Looks ok. I didn't pull it apart because I was leaving work, but I did jimmy it around a bit. Was all the damage inside? My truck is a mess....this morning the headlight switch caught fire...that was fun. Luckily one of our...

HVAC Control Head in dash--multiple issues (Mostly fixed)

My lights all work (I think....) but I'll look forward to your update. Didn't have time to check the connector today.

HVAC Control Head in dash--multiple issues (Mostly fixed)

Gonna look at this possibly tomorrow. As I mentioned in my luke warm heat post, my control head shuts down when it's cold. Eventually as the truck warms up, it'll come on, and the relays under the dash chatter until the interior temp comes up. Here's the weird part....if I turn on the parking...

    Luke Warm Heat

Any recommendations for a quality thermostat while I start shopping for parts? Started reading your HVAC panel thread too....interesting stuff. Mine locked up again yesterday when it was 29 degrees and wouldn't operate until I turned the parking lights on. Sure was...

    Luke Warm Heat

Excellent info. Thanks, all.............I have not done the coolant flush since I got it. As soon as the budget allows, I'll be working on this.

    Luke Warm Heat

Couldn't find a clear cut answer during search. My '90 has weak heat now that it's getting cold out. I warm it up 10-15 mins before I leave and the output is luke warm at best. Even driving freeway to work, it doesn't really get "hot." Assuming the thermostat is the correct 195 degree piece, do...

    Where to get interior paint??

Thank you. My RPO tag is intact and very legible....I'll decipher it tonight. Also checked LMC Truck...didn't think to before. They have Color-Bond and call their tan "Saddle." $20 bucks a can though....

    Where to get interior paint??

Before I go on a wild goose chase, I thought I should ask here first. Most of my tan interior trim for my '90 C1500 is brittle and cracked. I have red A-pillar trim I got from our local junk yard, ready to paint. Where can I find matching interior paint, and what did Chevy call it? Just "tan"...
