    Worth saving an L05 TBI and 700r4

    L31 being the 305? What are some of the problem areas with that swap? Also is my transmission also called a 4L60? My understanding was that the model name is 700r4. So would you think this motor could go pretty much directly into a L05 OBS?

    Would my L05 be a mostly direct swap into a 1998 Silverado 1500 4x4 with a 305? That's one application I'm thinking of. Isn't the bellhousing for the 700r4 in the g20 van platforms a little longer? I read that in a Chevy/GM van forum.

    I have an old 1989 van that is just getting too rusty. But the engine and transmission have always been very reliable. Is it worth pulling this motor to put in on OBS/Gen3 truck or even an old European car? How easily would this motor mate up with a manual transmission? I'm basically wondering...
