    I got my hands on a used piston with rod. I noticed there is a little up and down play in the wristpin. While in the old one there's none, but it still moves freely. Is this normal? I measured about 0.0015" or so. I'm not sure my measuring setup is accurate. I can just barely feel it and hear it...

    What rings and bearings should I be getting? I see there's tons of materials they're made from. I'll probably be ordering from summit or amazon. I'm going to go with standard size unless my measurements tell me otherwise.

    Cylinder wall looks and feels nice and smooth. Crank where the piston contacted looks fine. Like someone took a silver crayon to it.

    Tempting. There's a good chance I'm replacing a single connecting rod and seeing what happens. A piston if I'm feeling spendy.

    Ok. I didn't even consider the flex plate. I'll have to check that. It seems to idle smooth beside the horrible noise. What's a good source for stock short blocks?

    Didn't seem like a lot really. I've had hydrolocks before that were worse and didn't break anything. But I definitely broke something. I'm just trying to get this on the road as soon as possible.
