93 TBI 5.7 Pouring tons of raw fuel when key turned on

Have we pulled the blink codes at all? Use a jumper on ports A and B, can be a paper clip or a wire. Then go to this address https://mechanicbase.com/trouble-code/obd1-codes/ Don’t just throw parts at it till it gets solved. Be sure to check everything!

93 TBI 5.7 Pouring tons of raw fuel when key turned on

@Oldschooltruckdude this sounds similar to what I did when I did a motor swap on my suburban, 350 tbi. When I dropped in the motor, hooked everything up, went to give it its first start and it just flooded! I started to recheck everything, I found that I had missed a ground near the t-stat...

    Cutting spindles on 95 c1500

I’ll have to look into that. Thanks Already did remove what could be removed. Not that I’m aware of, they are rated for my truck. According to the wheel shop I went to that is. They seemed pretty knowledgeable. They only had a handful of options for me being that it’s a 5 lug and most...

    Cutting spindles on 95 c1500

See in the first photo how it sticks out? Well after a few miles it works loose. The dust cover is already in, just about touching the spindle. See how many threads are out past the cotter key? I was just think of bringing that in closer. It’s not load bearing, if anything it may cause problems...

    P0300 won’t go away!!!

First thing that jumps out to me is the “rotten egg smell” followed by the “choppy” sound. Take a temp gun and check the temps of the catalytic converters. Temps should be high, whichever one is colder, I guarantee is bout plugged up or is plugged.

    Why are 88's-98's special?

2nd owner of a 1995 Suburban c1500 5.7l 4L60 rolling with 522,*** on the dash! Original for the body, about 350k on motor (yanked it from previous suburban when it got totaled) and all I’ve done to the engine is refresh all seals! She has a new front end, 1800 on a clean build of tranny. She...

    Cutting spindles on 95 c1500

What’s good peeps!? Anyway, my question is, can the front spindles be cut down? I got these new rims and the center cap sticks out, the dust covers have been flattened as much as they can. Has anyone done that? I was thinking of using a hacksaw and taking off the end a few threads ahead of the...

Still fighting front end issues, brake issues, lots of time and money invested.

That’s a nice truck and a nice list of new parts. Now, let’s do some checking. Have you checked all of your wires to the sensors at the wheels? Be sure there isn’t anything pinched, or chafed. At the abs module, make sure the plug is good and clean, make sure that it has both power and good...

Bad Oil Leak from pan, won’t go away

@TCBRacer77 as a mechanic, here is what I would do, wash the engine real good, be sure to protect the electrical stuff, bag the alternator, etc. use some formula 88, stuff works great on a warm engine. Get some dye, about 9 bucks at advanced auto, take it for a drive and start checking. Start at...
