    Yes Jesse you can get the 454 taller upper shroud from classic chevy truck, the radiator from several places i got mine from auto zone. Make sure you get the short filler neck or the hood wont close. remember that the 7.4 big block engine is longer and the 7.4 upper shroud is like 2.5 inches...

    thanks Someotherguy those are the standard radiator brackets part numbers. the highrise ones are 15678761 driver side and 15678762 for pass side. according to the vin number for a friends K2500 7.4 with the tall brackets....whats confusing is appearently some 7.4's and 6.5's came with standard...

    I added the taller radiator to my 96 C3500 trying to fix an overheating problem and it did help some. It came factory with a 5.7 and the standard radiator that is 2 inches shorter. I have 2 friends that have 93's with 7.4's one is K2500 and one is a C3500 and both have the tall radiators...

    Cracked 5.7 block at Starter Bolts

    I had a 350 that did that back in the early 80's, we drilled and tapped the third starter bolt hole, found a cast three bolt starter houseing and welded the crack as best we could. i think it was a nickle rod, heating the cast iron red first, ran that engine for another 10 years.

    installing the 2 inch taller 7.4 454/ 6.5 deisel radiator in my 96 c3500 and need to taller upper hold downs chev part number 15678761 and 15678762. of course chev discontinued them. anybody have any lying around? Runnincool
