    wiper arms

Hey Derek, I am having the same issue and want my wiper blades to “park” lower. Which nut did you adjust? and How do you remove the plastic cowl? I feel like I’m going to break something.

350 gets close to stalling when stopping

The passage to the IAC looked good when I changed it, but I will check or replace the gasket tomorrow depending on availability of the part

350 gets close to stalling when stopping

@Schurkey Browsing eBay people are selling 2005 reprogramable mt2500 cartridges for $300+. How far can these be programmed to and can I reprogram them myself? If I can find one for cheaper I will try and test it out.

350 gets close to stalling when stopping

I ended up getting this one which is like new and has all the cartridges and adapters up to 1998. I was able to get it for $250. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Snap-On-MT2598-Super-Deluxe-Scanner-/334065840602?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0

350 gets close to stalling when stopping

It could always still be the brake booster but that is not the source of the vacuum leak. When pressing the brakes the buzz does not change.

350 gets close to stalling when stopping

All I know I have learned on YouTube videos. I bet you know far more than I do I am still new to these trucks. As far as the OBD1 scan tool I think both would be a good option for me, but I want to wait for a response from Schurkey. I’m kind of leaning towards the snap on, but it has to be...

350 gets close to stalling when stopping

The hiss is always there not just when braking. After running the vehicle and pressing the brakes I can remove the vacuum booster check valve and it still has vacuum. If there’s a vacuum leak it is before it goes in the booster. I can also completely remove the check valve from the vacuum line...

350 gets close to stalling when stopping

Thank you for you amazing and detailed reply. After hours of research and a lack of sleep I am stuck between a actron cp9690 for $200 or a MT2500 with the domestic cards and Asian imports cards up to 1999 with adapters for ~$275. I understand that “the brick” is bidirectional which is a big win...

350 gets close to stalling when stopping

I tested my brake booster and it does not have a vacuum leak. Is there another common leak I should look for?

It always has the hiss. I hear it loudest in the cab. I have seen that your go to is always a scan tool. Which one do you recommend?

I already have a AC delco fuel filter and will swap it in the morning. Thank you for your insight.

350 gets close to stalling when stopping

It’s a 1994 so my obd2 scanner won’t work. It only happens when using both brake and clutch at same time. It’s a AC Delco IAC. I will check for vacuum leaks tomorrow it does have a bad hiss that sounds almost like a beep.

350 gets close to stalling when stopping

It doesn’t happen every time I stop, but occasionally the rpms drop <500. It’s on my 1994 k1500 with a 5.7. I don’t have any issues with my idle after startup or once up to temp. This occurs when coming to a stop sign at ~30 mph. I push the clutch all the way in and shift to neutral when coming...

    New 1994 Chevy K1500 Owner

Update: I was able to install all of the the parts I listed and went ahead and replaced the upper control arms. The upper ball joints were impossible to get off the old ones. I’m hoping that covers most of the oil leaks, but only time will tell. I ended up ordering a Xj steering shaft off eBay...

    New 1994 Chevy K1500 Owner

I recently purchased a 1994 Chevy K1500 standard cab long bed pickup. As far as specs it has the 5.7 350 with the 6 lug 3.73 and is the Silverado trim level. I’m the third owner and it has just over 200,000 miles. It’s been a work truck and daily for a carpenter for the past 15 years. A bit...
