Truck stalled, wouldn't restart, then started fine hours later

Update, I took the battery out of the burb to let it charge in the garage overnight. I didn't get back to it for two days. When I put the fully charged battery back in, it started and runs fine. I didn't change anything else. I'm going with, the oil pressure dropped to zero and the ECM shut off...

Truck stalled, wouldn't restart, then started fine hours later

I found a video that showed the same symptoms, no spark and no injectors firing. It turned out to be a bad coil. Tomorrow it's a new MSD coil and a new fuel pump relay for good measure. 385k miles and I've never replaced the fuel relay.

Truck stalled, wouldn't restart, then started fine hours later

I cranked it until the oil pressure gage showed pressure, no start. With the ignition on there is no voltage on either leg of the fuel pump fuse. The fuse is OK. It looks like no spark either. What would kill the fuel pump and the spark?

Truck stalled, wouldn't restart, then started fine hours later

I was on the highway at about 80 MPH and my engine just quit. It wouldn't start again. I noticed no oil pressure when cranking so added oil. (Yep, only an idiot lets the oil get that low.) After I got oil in and started seeing pressure when it cranked, it still wouldn't start. I pulled the air...

    Rag Joint Delete??

I got the Borgeson 935 shaft. Their u joints have set screws to 'grip' the shaft on the steering box. The instructions say to file a flat spot on the splined shaft for the set screw. I'm slightly concerned about taking a grinder to a $500 new steering box shaft. I see some commented they used...

94 Suburban C1500 MC upgrade and 4WAL bleeding

Yesterday it was raining and I tried to activate the ABS. I could only lock up the front brakes. Rear brakes didn't lockup and ABS never activated at either end.

94 Suburban C1500 MC upgrade and 4WAL bleeding

I finally got some NiCopp line. No leaks now. I used the Motive pressure bleeder to load 15 psi on the master cylinder, just air pressure, to check for leaks. The new tube dripped for a bit. I tightened the fittings a bit more and pumped the brakes a few times and the leaks stopped. Without...

94 Suburban C1500 MC upgrade and 4WAL bleeding

Also, if the seals in the MC are failing and letting fluid bypass, the pedal can go to the floor. I started by looking for fluid at the wheels, even though the MC reservoir was full. With no fluid loss, I couldn't think of how air got in the lines. So i figured I'd start by replacing the MC. I...

94 Suburban C1500 MC upgrade and 4WAL bleeding

I bought the Motive kit. I've watched about fifty YouTube videos on GMT400 brakes and read the long threads on here. It looked like the Motive pressure bleeder works best and easiest. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mvp-0118 I've found a mobile brake service who has an OBD 1 scanner that...

94 Suburban C1500 MC upgrade and 4WAL bleeding

The Z36 kit, new calipers and rotors, and the braided steel flex lines, are next. I need to fix the current system ASAP so I can get the safety inspection and tags and start driving it again. Since I'm not losing fluid, I don't think replacing any of those parts will make a difference in the...

94 Suburban C1500 MC upgrade and 4WAL bleeding

I don't think that answers either of my two questions. Thanks for the effort though.

94 Suburban C1500 MC upgrade and 4WAL bleeding

My vehicle 94 Suburban C1500 5.7L-350 Silverado trim 365,000 miles Stock braking system at the start. I let the burb sit for a few months and then got in it to get it back on the road. The brake pedal when to the floor and about the last two inches before hitting the stop, it managed to...
