It does look cool how it slowly appears to start spinning the other direction.

TBI 383? Which one? I’m intrigued. Thanks for feedback on the shifting. Looks like I’m not alone.

I'm pissed, my Blazer won't even think about lighting them up. 3.42 gears and 33's , go figure. I looked up my RPO code yesterday and it says GT4 which…I think means I have 3.73 gears. It spun both tires, as you see in pic above. This truck is still original and bone stock, except for muffler...

Longest I’ve done since high school 20 years ago! I baby this truck, but I work with a bunch of gear-heads (like me) and Monday night after the annual work party everybody got in the mood and started smoking the tires on their Chevys. It was fun. I cheered them on, but I didn’t join. Since that...

    4L60E shift override? I’m confused…’94 Z71

Hello, I caved to peer pressure this week after work and did a burnout in my 1994 Z71. My truck is: 5.7 TBI, auto trans, 4x4, extra cab, step side. Powertrain is original, 221K miles. I pulled the shift lever down into 1st gear, but when it hit 4K rpm it shifted on its own. This surprised me...

    Heat riser - necessary? 1994 TBI 350

That's interesting! Do you still have that letter? I'm sure we'd love to see a copy of it.

88-91 vs 92-94 DASH DIFFERENCES - do they matter?

To be completely transparent, if I'm going to all of the effort to rebuild the dash, $399 seems pretty dang fair and only logical for a brand new dash core. I'm not going to all that work for a used one that has already aged itself.

    Heat riser - necessary? 1994 TBI 350

Yes, but our humidity is next to nothing. I've never in my life heard of a throttle body icing, and I think that's indicative that it's not a common issue in the southwest.

    Heat riser - necessary? 1994 TBI 350

To answer your question, I live in the White Mountains at 5600 ft. Our winter nights can get down to 0. Commonly between 10 F and 20 F during January.

    Heat riser - necessary? 1994 TBI 350

Hello friends, I have always wanted to know, is the heat riser really necessary on these TBI motors? For example, you see lots of folks flip the lids on their air cleaner housings, which would completely negate the heat riser. I even drove my '95 TBI 305 GMC for a year with the lid flipped and...

Cool. I’ll watch for them like a hawk.

88-91 vs 92-94 DASH DIFFERENCES - do they matter?

Thanks. I’ll call them and ask what’s going on. It’s not that I feel entitled to the correct dash. But if they will have them in stock again, I’ll wait for the right one. If they’re not going to have them in stock again, I better buy the other so that I can at least retrofit!

That’s frustrating. Some items say back ordered, others just aren’t available.

Ok, thanks. When did you buy your ‘92-‘94 dash from them?

88-91 vs 92-94 DASH DIFFERENCES - do they matter?

Hello friends, The dash in my 1994 K1500 Z71 must be replaced. It spent 27 years in Mesa AZ and the top is broken up so bad it is no longer attached up top, so the whole dash bounces unsupported when you drive. I see in LMC truck that they sell the new dash for the 88-91, but not for the 92-94...
