    Crew cab step bars

Not a problem at all. If you need an exact measurement (bolt hole to bolt hole) or some pics let me know. The Westin brand that I have one my 03 have been on since new. They are in really good shape for the age. I’m having my rockers and cab corners replaced in June for this truck. They’re final...

    Crew cab step bars

It’s around 81 inches. It uses the front and rear cab mount. Nothing in the center mount. And it definitely is not connected to the rocker panel

Check out AP Air. They should be able to help you out.

    Crew cab step bars

Now I’m confused… in the description is says rocker panel mount but the instructions show using the body mounts.

    Crew cab step bars

I’ll have to measure them tomorrow for you. Here’s a link to Westins site. I put your truck in to find the products. There’s instructions to install them as well. Hopefully this will help you find what you want. https://www.westinautomotive.com/signature-3-nerf-step-bars/1999/chevrolet/k2500

Try Westin. My 2003 2500HD CC has nerf barfs that mount to the cab mounts

    Restore or junk it?

Here’s the frame… So far this is the only issue I saw from under the truck. I know the spare tire carrier crossmember will need some attention too.

    Restore or junk it?

I won’t be using it as a donor. There’s not to many good parts on it worth donating to another truck. I’m excited about putting it back to panty dropper status. I have a welder, hot wrench, and big ass sledge hammer for the trouble areas too. This spring ill take the bed and front end off the...

    Restore or junk it?

Here’s my 94 k1500 standard cab short bed. It’s been sitting since 2019 because it failed inspection because of rust at the radiator support. I miss driving this truck. My wife said either fix it or get out of the driveway. So I’m taking her word as restore it!! The only thing different as you...

    Trailer Brake Controller Advice

I’m curious does your suburban have a factory trailer prep option on it?? I don’t know when they started installing them or making it an option

    Trailer Brake Controller Advice

I personally use the Prodigy P2 in all of our fleet trucks from a Silverado 1500 to an F550. No reasons as to why. They just work for our fleet and not complicated for someone to learn how to use.

OIL COOLER LINES WUEDTION? 1994 GMC SLE K1500 w/ Tow pkg

There might be plastic quick connects on the lines as well. I don’t remember

OIL COOLER LINES WUEDTION? 1994 GMC SLE K1500 w/ Tow pkg

Without looking it up I believe that what you have is correct. When I replaced my oil cooler line there are just o-rings going into the oil filter housing. Rock auto should have the lines and oil filter housing sealing washers and gaskets

    High Idle - Rich Exhaust

My dad had a similar issue with his 5.7. He couldn’t get it to idle. The engine always acted like his foot was on the throttle. The TB gasket was torn at the intake manifold and it was sucking air causing the high idle.

    94 K1500 Frame Rust

The rest of the truck is shot. It’s a 94 with 376k on it. It’s not about sinking money into it. It’s not a even a DD anymore. It’s just a truck that I like and sure beats a going to a dealer and buying a new truck.

AC repair/overview on a 30 year old truck

Definitely call them. They’re a ton of help. I use them all the time for tractor parts and heavy truck parts. I have a dealer account through them and prices are very respectable. And if you do get a compressor do the research and make sure it has the correct type and amount of oil in it before...

AC repair/overview on a 30 year old truck

I’m not an AC expert by any means but I’ve converted a few tractors. If I was going to do this job I would start with a new compressor. Without looking it up you’ll either need adapters to go from r12 to 134 or new lines depending on where the adapters are located. I don’t know if they are on...

    94 K1500 Frame Rust

I’m in south central (Hershey) and yes my plan is to take the bed off front fenders and radiator support out of the truck and really look it over. The cab will probably just lift off because the rubber mounts are gone at this point. My neighbor has an auto body shop but if it’s going to be...

    94 K1500 Frame Rust

If the frame is repaired and repaired correctly, then painted it should be done better than the factory. I don’t see a legitimate reasons of how they could fail it. That’s just my $0.02. If I repair the truck it will be better than any over priced truck sitting on a dealer lot.

    94 K1500 Frame Rust

I’m assuming I’ll find other spots but hopefully nothing major. The frame is definitely not trashed compared to a lot of other frames I’ve seen researching the trucks. I’m an Ag mechanic so the 7018 rods were my first thought but if I’m going to fix the truck it’s basically going to be a...

    94 K1500 Frame Rust

New to the forum. My truck has been sitting in my driveway for 3 years after it failed Pennsylvania state inspection for rust. The rust failure was at the radiator core support. I should have fixed it then but with a kid and a kid on the way it was easier just to park it. Fast forward to today...
