    Does it have the distributor that the wires go out the sides ? If so pull #3 wire and give it a shot. Yes i agree it sounds stupid

    im pulling the timing chain cover. When I checked the 2 degrees it was cold. Thought Im might as well check for slop. It acts like a timing chain but points at number 1. however cant get better than -8 for timing??? Update tomorrow.

    Fuel Pressure is good. tried all the open/closed loops when it was running and it keeps running. Just picked up my scanner and the learning is a little steep. After it stalls i get the crank/cam correlation error but why only after it is warm is the question. I know the injectors are going bad...

    from the scanner also same on instrument cluster. I'm actually wondering if the misfire could be caused when the injectors warm up??? I tried pulling the wires on the EGR and same result.

    Rough running 7.4 Vortec

    The next time it doesnt start pull #3 plug wire and try to start. Yes I know sounds crazy! I didnt believe it until it worked for me. If it works go buy a GM rotor and cap. Even if yours is only two omonths old like mine was... good luck

    Well its a funny story. If you pull number 3 plug wire it starts right up. Changed cap and all is good. It is a common issue with the caps that the wires come out the side. Cut in half and you can see where the spark went through the cap no visual sign on the cap. Wires are correct point at #1...
