    Motor Trend Engine Masters did some testing on a small block Hooker cast iron headers. The performance was good while noise and maintenance was reduced. You might investigate the correct product for your 88.

    These engines never have moved much air. Not making 200 hp. If you take the air cleaner off and listen, you will find the heads are the choke point.

    Something overlooked often. If front brake lines are original change them out. They will give problems, soft pedal and calipers that won't lift off the rotors at the most inopportune moment. Hydro boost will make symptoms apparent early.

    Be very careful depending on infrared temp guns. The guns operate on reflectivity. If a surface is not flat black temps can be way off.

    You can get a cam that produces insufficient vacuum to run an auto tranny.

    Just replaced the steering box, hoses, and pump. For me the best tip I received was how to remove air from all the lines, box and pump. Use a floor jack under the crossmember plate. Raise the front wheels off the ground, remove the cap and fill to where you can see fluid, (not to the fill...
