how to test gas gauge??

It would really help to know what year, model, engine size you have? Kind of hard to do diagnostics with out it. But with out looking at he schematics yet I would be leaning more towards the multifunction switch. I dont think the ground for the tailights is on the same circuit of the Wipers.

There is no substitute for Diagnostics, Replacing parts that are NOT needed is obviously a waste of money and frustrating.

Headlight/parking light help/opinions

do you still have the cheap ebay lights? If you do just use all the factory OEM plastic mounts, the 1 to the core support and the one that mounts the lens to the core mount. I just had the same issue yesterday and it seems to be working alot better.

These images are taken directly from alldata. I would reccomend Printing them ASAP because they will change what show up eventually, Or atleast they use to.

ok to drive without inspection cover?

theres always a chance of road debris lodging inbetween the converter and pump that could possably damage the front pump seal, you could also end up damaging the flexplate or even the converter. Probably not a big issue if your not Offroad but even then i would find a replacement and get it put...
