    94 c2500 burb, 489 stroker

Yeah stock seat risers and tracks, Corbeau has a surprizingly huge list of mounts to suit stock risers and tracks, drivers side is still power, I just had to re-locate the controls from the front of the seat t the plastic side covers

    94 c2500 burb, 489 stroker

How it sits now, installed a holley crank trigger, had to space my accessories out 3/16", built brackets for my valve covers to hold AMP coil packs, pulled the fast throttle body apart to make sure it wasn't damaged and trace/label the wires for the future megasquirt ECU, mostly finished...

    94 c2500 burb, 489 stroker

Truck was done and running well besides burning plug wires, got corbeau racing seats and was staring to do sound deadening and new carpets when I had an engine fire, ignition lead must have been nicked. Managed to put it out (keep a fire extinguisher in your garage) but it melted allot of wiring.

    94 c2500 burb, 489 stroker

lowering kit going in and body work, front end was easy, back end, not so much, no kit for a 3/4ton burb so front end is for a 1ton truck, and back end is for a 1/2ton burb, frame holes didn't line up, shackles hit the floor so I had to cut holes, worked in the end

Bought the burb 2005, was my daily till 2012, had it finished till I had an engine fire last winter, going further with it now. I have a TON of pictures so this is going to take a bunch of posts in this thread. Overview: 489 stroker, 10.5:1 comp ratio, stock block, replaced everything else...

    502 swap in my 1996 C3500

the crate kits rarely come with a forged bottom end, although if your shooting for less than ~550hp you don't really need to go forged. I opted to do a stroker 489 on mine, lots of sidewall left with only a 0.03 bore, the 496 makes the sidewalls a little thin with the 0.06bore. If you don't want...

My 97 3/4 ton 454... anything else i need or should do ?

try LMC truck for the grille, headlights, signals, tail lights etc. Lots of options, stock or different styles and easy to add the little extras you'll otherwise forget, LED bulbs to fit aftermarket markers etc

Experience with this crate engine company?

doesn't say if the blocks are 2 bolt or 4 bolt mains, doesn't say what the crank is, doesn't say what the cam is, doesn't say what the pistons/rods are, doesn't give any info an anything, has stamped steel rockers, hell, these could be 150hp dogs and completely useless in anything this is what...

    TBI to aftermarket EFI

yeah I wasn't sure how everything worked with the stock ECU so I left it, didn't want check engine light, or limp mode ect, the shop that finished it for me couldn't get the stock ECU to properly control the tranny without the standard engine inputs so had to go aftermarket which was the biggest...

    TBI to aftermarket EFI

Ahh and I was making about 650hp, hoping to crack 700 with the megasquirt but mines a way over built 489stroker

    TBI to aftermarket EFI

I was running the FAST EZ EFI 2.0 with a fast dual sync distributor for timing, a fast ignition and a TCI tranny controller, I left the stock tbi ECU in so my stock guages work(voltage, engine temp, & oil pressure), just cut off the garbage I didn't need, don't bother trying to integrate them...

    When my GMT400 isn't enough...

as a guy with a way way over built 454 TBI burb I say swap a junk yard L94 out of an escalade including the whole computer and wiring harness, few grand and a few hard weekends work plus time messing with wiring =403hp & 417ft-lbs, or to get any power out of the TBI the motor needs to be pulled...

94 Suburban has been sitting for 5+ years

The tanks are pretty easy to drop, piece of plywood over a floor jack, 2 bolts, plus the filler and vent line, may need to drop the hitch too (6 nuts?), my buddy was helping me with mine, I poped into the bathroom for 5 min and he had it dropped when I was out

94 Suburban has been sitting for 5+ years

Nice truck, If I was going to start on my build again I'd LS swap. Also if you wan't something fast its going to be expensive to make the burb fast especially being TBI, I have 20K into the motor & electronics on my big block tbi to make it fast, its fast now but also really hard to drive.

Boosted 350 vortec, or stock 8.1?

Hmmm, my daily is a 2001 yukon, my brothers work truck is a 2007 classic, both zero rust, no electrical problems, they have finicky sensors though, I find them more reliable than the gmt400's, not as tough though. The rust may have to do with the factory that's supplying your area vs mine
