Can someone tell me what this part is on my 98 chevy c1500 ?

You can also just use a 96 pressure line and not use the line that comes in the delete kit. That's what I did with my 98 because I also didn't like the idea of that extra line

Best fitting and quality replacement side mirrors

You can also still order acdelco replacements. I did it for both of my truck's mirrors. Fit just fine, absolutely zero shake. The passenger side mirror is a little more difficult to find because they're usually on backorder but you can still buy them both new

    Hydro boost Rebuild Went Bad

I made the same mistake as you when I rebuilt my hydroboost unit. The bell shaped thing has a groove in it and the pedal rod goes into that groove. I accidentally assembled it with the pedal rod on top of the bell shaped thing and it would suck the brake pedal in all the way on start up

    96 burb 7.4 misfire after 5.0 injectors

As long as you have a line from your evap canister to your evap solenoid, it'll be fine. You don't really need that green valve. You honestly might be fine even without the line most of the times as that solenoid only opens occasionally Tbh, when it comes to timing advance and stuff, I dont...

    96 burb 7.4 misfire after 5.0 injectors

I do believe those should be connected. After some researching, the suburbans have a heater control valve for the rear a/c and heat and it's vacuum operated off the manifold. Which would explain why my truck doesn't have that connection or that line. So if you can, connect the line

    Blueprint 383 crate motor?

I'd definitely recommend both sides, if one went, the other is probably close as well

    96 burb 7.4 misfire after 5.0 injectors

The green check valve is a pressure testing location for the evap system, nothing connects to it unless you're pressure testing. Do you have a vacuum brake booster on your truck by any chance because that might be it. I don't have a connection point there or on the firewall but I have...

    Blueprint 383 crate motor?

    96 burb 7.4 misfire after 5.0 injectors

This is the intake side of the PCV system on the right side of the engine, you definitely need that elbow there otherwise your engine and intake manifold will just suck in all sorts of air that it shouldn't be This is the outlet side of the PCV system with that plastic hose with two rubber ends...

    Manual Cargo Light?

I know it's been over a year and I'm just now seeing this. I also went out to my truck and took pictures so you can see everything so hopefully it helps. So that white wire that is capped off is the original ground for the cargo lamp and it goes into the A pin on the connector. The black wire...

    P0440 Code Tip

Ironically, I had done the same thing with my truck. I forgot why I unplugged the evap solenoid but I did. Had very intermittent p0440. I replaced the valve on the manifold thinking it was going bad because it didn't look the best anyways. Very shortly after, I got the code again. I looked...

    Alternator/tensioner bracket

I know we all love pictures so I took a picture of the 2 brackets side by side so everyone can see the difference between them as well as the tensioner style. The swap was pretty straight forward though. Only problems I ran into is I had to disconnect the lower rad hose (I really didn't want too...

I appreciate it, I was able to get a yard in OK to send a bracket for a reasonable price

    Alternator/tensioner bracket

I may have to explore that way, thanks for letting me know! I thought they all pretty much died from out here. I can't believe that worked for you, it seems like getting the required leverage would be impossible. But that may be what I have to try next time

    Alternator/tensioner bracket

We do have them, they're just filled with gmt800s and newer. Even gmt400s aren't really on the road out here. I think it's just because of how close I am to the coast being the Hampton roads area but not entirely sure. We don't salt as we never get snow or anything ‍♂️

    Alternator/tensioner bracket

Hopefully you find something if you do end up going! If you want to try to find a bracket and pm me, I'd appreciate. I did find a yard in OK that claims they're willing to ship parts so I've mightve gotten lucky there, if they respond to my inquiry that is. Ebay, everyone is selling both...

    Alternator/tensioner bracket

I wish I could go through treasure yards to find things but gmt400s unfortunately aren't really out in VA anymore where I am so I stopped going. It does sound neat to have an entire yard almost to yourself though

    Alternator/tensioner bracket

I wish it was like those, my dad's 96 is like that. I don't have a slot for a drive or anything. It's literally just the pulley bolt. That's one of a few reasons I want to switch to the non AIR injection alternator bracket
  19. T

    Alternator/tensioner bracket

I didn't strip the bracket mount. The way to relieve tension on the AIR injected 454s is you need a 1/2 inch or 13mm socket and you put it on the tensioner pulley bolt and go in the tightening direction. And over time, the threads wear out and strip. So I'm wanting to switch to the normal style...

    Alternator/tensioner bracket

Hello everyone, I have a 1998 Chevy k2500 with the 454. I've recently had a problem with the tensioner where the bolt stripped out it's threads as I was trying to relieve tension on the belt. I was looking around and there isn't really a replacement for the tensioner anymore with the exception...

    Manual Cargo Light?

Just for easability, I'd personally recommend just grounding at the 3rd brake light. Because i also did it for the cargo lights on my mirrors as i plan to put high output lights in the mirrors instead and also use them as aux backup lights

    Manual Cargo Light?

It is interesting, especially being right next to a white power cable as well. But, i just recently did it and it works like a charm. It bypasses every "safety" feature gm did with the cargo light. It even works while in gear and driving too

    Manual Cargo Light?

So as someone previously mentioned, the cargo lamp ties into the dome light ground. The ground for the cargo light on the plug is white (there's 2 white wires, the second one is the power for the 3rd brake light). You just need to take the ground wire from position A in the plug and ground it...
