transmission crossmember. Side with bend on passenger or driver side?

Hi I am almost done with my transmission r&r. Having some trouble getting the crossmember back in. Which way does it go in?

Flexplate installation direction 1997 5.7 vortec

Hi, Replacing my tranny and went to go do the rear main seal. Put the flexplate back on and went to mount up the new tranny when torque convertor doesn't move right. Does the side with the weight on the flexplate face the transmission or the engine? Thanks guys

97 suburban, 1 piece 4l60e shot. Rebuild? New tranny? New to truck world.

Hey everyone, New here. Just picked up my first truck. A 97 c1500 GMC Suburban. 136K miles 2nd owner. Engine runs strong but the tranny has issues left and right. Symptoms 1. no 3 and 4 gear. Sometimes I'll get 3 if I rev it up to around 4k in second and let off the gas. But 4 is totally...
