LS swap in my 2500 2wd?

hey fellas, need some advice. i have the chance to buy an ls1 or a 355 sbc blueprint motor, but the thing is would it be pointless putting either one of those motors in my heavy truck? i cant lift it and out big tires on it cause its 2wd, and i cant lower it cause its 3/4 ton. should i find...

4L80e REVERSE??!!

I have a 1996 Gmc sierra 2500 with the 4l80e trans. all the forward gears are great....but the reverse... i've had the truck for 3 long, fun years, and ever since ive had it, the reverse has been "messed up" for some reason when I put the selector in Reverse it don't go in reverse unless I rev...

11.50's slow?

I took my 2500 truck with the 5.7 vortec to an 1/8 mile track and ran a 11.54 and consistant 11.50s. she has 204xxx miles. is this slow? I feel it did alright for a 5000+ pound truck
