    Just look up a 1999 corvette Fuel filter / regulator. And yes I crimped off the return. ACDelco Gold GF822 Fuel Filter - but you need adapters.

    traced it down. It's the a/c compressor kicking in & out... But I'm not sure if I have a problem with the a/c or if all vortec trucks do this. Anyone else have live data scanner that would be willing to test their own truck??

    Yep, you are simply pulling more juice than the electrical system can provide in that instant the fans come on. Once the alternator kicks up then the system goes back to normal.
