    The starter bolt mounting hole seems to be at an angle My inserts always end up coming out like this when I put the bolt in I am using a 3/8" 16 X 1.50 insert for a 3/8" 16 x 4-5/8 bolt Maybe i just didnt drill out the hole far enough?

    I want to convert the battery in my 88 K1500 to a top post battery (for obvious reasons lol.) Besides replacing the cables What do i look for in a battery? Do i just match up the cold cranking amps and physical battery size?

    I know the transfer case being in neutral would cause the truck not to move but, would it allow the truck to stay running in gear without the clutch pushed in? Trying to figure something out from a previous thread

    Looks like its the transfer case. Possibly a broken chain and stuck in neutral. That wouldn't explain why the truck stays running without the clutch in though?

    Lines are fine. Fluid reservoir is full, plenty of pressure at the clutch. No hoses popped off. Transfer case is in 2hi Possible causes of the pop sound i have in mind are Throwout Bearing, Clutch or input shaft

    I don't believe it would be master cylinder, I still have plenty of pressure in the clutch. I'm really no good with transmission stuff, i learned most of what i know as i went along with the transmission replacement. And im still able to start the truck so, wouldn't that rule out slave...

    I would definitely like to keep it as "stock looking" as possible and i haven't had the door panel apart yet. Would i just mount the speaker on the outside of the panel? Or can i mount it inside between the panel and window then get a grille for outside?
