Newest Rear Or what's an upgrade for GMT400 K1500

Will a NBS rear 3.73 fit one of ours? i.e. would say a 2005 fit my 94 K1500. Or... What upgrade fits i.e. would a K2500 rear fit (same ratio).

Can I Swap a 94 K1500 3.73 Rear End with 93 Suburban 4x4 (same 3.73)?

My Truck = '94 K1500 Donor Truck = '93 Suburban 4x4 Same ratio 3.73 Can I swap? I already have it, only paid $80, but now someone told me they aren't interchangable. I measured the rear-ends, same from backing plate to plate, and same from mounting point to mounting point (to leaf springs).

GT4 only to replace GRT4/G80?

My rear diff went out, and had the G80 locker. I found and removed/purchased a GT4 only from a junkyard in good condition for $80.00. It came out of a 93 4wd Suburban. My truck is a 94 Z71 4wd. Is it okay to NOT have the locker? I know the G80 was problematic, and my thoughts were if it's 4wd...

What happened?

I have some idea's, I had some vibrations in the transfer case. While inspecting the drive train, noticed a bb sized dent from the INSIDE on the rear end cover. Pulled/drained, and found a broken tooth part from the pinion, and two adjacent teeth chipped. What could have caused this? Again, I...
