Same here! Gas is a bit expensive, not as bad here as Canada or Cali/West Coast, but enough. And I would have to take several days off to go on a road trip further than the DFW area or Oklahoma. DFW is 5 hours one way, when we last went to Oklahoma for a family reunion it was two days each way from Houston. And for that trip we had a new rental Charger with a V6, got 30mpg while hauling 4 people and gear at 85mph. Can't do that with a truck.....

Ya Dallas is about 32 hours of driving from here. But one day when I win the lottery, I'm loading up the Megacab and letting Bill from Extensive do his thing on it!!! Lol

$20 for a pack of smokes... Holy S***! I think I would have to finally give it up at that point...

My brand is actually $25 a pack!
It's nuts I know. Never been accused of being the smrtst. There are now "rez" smokes you can buy for $35-45 a carton. But they taste like absolute dog crap! And who knows what the hell they put in them.
Figure the things that will eventually kill me should at least be enjoyable, good Rye from the upper middle shelf, and smokes you can buy in a real store instead of the trunk of a car!! Lol

Finally found some 2-1/4" turndowns. No the are not mandrel bent, I'm not worried about losing an 1/8 of a HP from this!! Lol

Just a quick booger at best job. Didn't take anytime to prep at all, it's temporary until a swap takes place then the whole exhaust has to get redone anyway.
Went to turn the gas bottle off when I was done....it was already off!!! Well that explains a few things!!!! Lol

I gave them a good shake and tug test, they are solid as needed. Hell....I even gave a 7/8 assed attempt at making sure they were lined up and pointing in the same direction.

Last week called a wrecking yard to inquire about the fixings for a 94+ GMC grill swap and a door. "Call you back tomorrow when I see what we got"......... crickets.

Went Monday to a electronics shop to look at an amp, 4x6's and new modern head unit. Was there for 30 minutes and then walked out. As I was walking out, kid at the counter finally looks up from his phone and says "have a nice evening". Not asking if I wanted a hand. Idiot.

Repeat above paragraph for today as well. Different dude though. Not once asked if I needed a hand, just "have a good weekend". Moron.

Decide to go to the LARGE auto and everything else store. They have a decent selection of audio gear surprisingly.
Stand there for 10min with a empty cart ready to load up. Nothing.
Go to the customer "service" desk and ask for some help. Believe she said someone will be right there, but I MUST of misheard her say "go stand like an idiot for another 15 min ******"

So I bailed.

There is a small shop in town that sells audio stuff, I'll go see what they are asking for what I want. Doubtful they will be close in price though. Will see.

I really don't wanna order from dic rocket man, but I just may soni don't have to deal with humans!!! Lol

Who would have thought it would be so hard to piss money away!!!! Lol

That’s terrible service! I’ve had the best experiences with crutchfiled lately. Don’t know if they service the great white north. Sonic electronix is another I’ve used several times with no issues and good customer service.

Both places hire folks from the industry that are knowledgeable and up to date.

Ya crucified has a Canadian website. I'll definitely check them out. Prefer to give money to them instead of *** rocket.

I second crutchfield. Though one time I had an issue with a Kenwood head unit with some parasitic draw and they wouldn’t warranty it for some reason. I was younger then and didn’t push back, just pushed over. I avoid Amazon like the plague for audio parts. Amazon - remember when it wasn’t American Temu?

I know very little about car audio but crutchfield’s videos have been a big help when deciding on products that fit my needs.
