the VHT epoxy has turned out nice the couple times I’ve used it. I use a bunch of satin black rust oleum professional at work with good results. Actually it’s the ACE hardware house brand version but I assume it’s the same thing.ready for some type of frame coating or paint. Any recommendations? I’ve heard por15 is good but pricy.
Didn’t know it was brittle I assumed it was more like a rubberized coating. Good to know.Por15 is definitely pricey, but it's also pretty brittle. If you plan on thrashing on the truck, and I'm sure you are, I would just hit it with your favorite brand of spraypaint. Easy to touch up.
Got the front half of this fender tacked on today. I’m going to take the fender off before I finish welding it. I need to cut some of the inner fender out for tire clearance. Tomorrow if I have time I will take apart the front suspension and finish welding everything up and getting it ready for some type of frame coating or paint. Any recommendations? I’ve heard por15 is good but pricy.
This is just a scrap piece I was playing with. Dimple dies are easy to use but I’m still trying to get a hang of the bead roller.Mmmm, dimple dies…
