Yeah, that looks bad. Those ears look kinda thin to me, too. Are these OEM castings, or did some of the new (likely Chinese calipers) get rebuilt? I've never purchased any of the new calipers, but It wouldn't' surprise me if they weren't as durable.

I think I'd pull the other side too, just to verify that nothing bad is in progress there, too.

Reminds me of the time I had a brand new rotor fly apart on the highway. Took out the rim, caliper, and hub bearing. Definitely was one of my bigger “oh **** moments”. Glad to hear nobody was hurt man

It was definitely a pucker moment lol

I will say that we actually have better luck with remanufactured parts rather than new. Most of the time the remanufactured parts are using original cores but new ones are a total crap shoot.
I usually don’t have issues with reman stuff either, this has definitely been interesting to say the least
