Axle seals on a 2wd 10 bolt Dif with the posi lock

torque specs Bizzo15, I'm replacing my carrier. By chance, would you happen to know the torque specifications for the ring bolts and carrier bearing bolts?

rearend problems please help

I'd check the ring and pinion. Jack it up (chock the front wheels), pull the diff pan, put it in neutral and spin the driveshaft with your hand. Check the teeth on the ring and pinion for a chipped tooth. If that doesn't work, you might have trans problems

Brake light Switch

I had the same problem with my truck, and it really sucks getting to the switch. I didn't have to remove the steering column, just follow the pigtail up under the dash and unplug it. The switch twists up off the pushrod, then slides off the pin on the brake peddle. Once you have both the switch...

Torque spec questions

Newbie to the forum. I'm replacing the carrier in the rear end of my truck. The one thing that I can't find is the torque specifications for the bolts connecting the carrier to the ring and also the bolts for holding the carrier bearings down. I have a 1996 Silverado, 1/2 ton, 2WD, 4.3L V6.
