Hey just wondering if somebody could point me towards what size? they list a 35mm and a 40mm I can’t take it apart to check it’s my only way to the parts store, it’s on a 1993 c3500 ext can 2wd 454 any help would be appreciated
Well it seems I figured it out. I checked fuses harnesses unplugged sensors and harness on transmission rechecked fluid level as well, then I saw cruise control switch on the turn signal was stuck on accel turned off cruise control and the truck is running awesome!!! Not sure exactly which one...
Transmission shifts all gears smoothly, problem is when you get on the highway and go to pass it kicks back into 3rd and won’t shift back to 4th unless you pull over shut the truck down, then it will run through all of gears perfect again, I replaced the ect sensor and the ignition starter...
Lol I hear ya better to be safe than sorry I’ve done timing chains before but not when they have jumped or stripped like this. the fun parts gonna be dropping that oil pan tomorrow to get all the nylon teeth out hopefully all goes well and thanks for all the response much appreciated
I’m afraid some of the valves are bent as well I have pulled the plugs and valve covers getting ready to pull the oil pan. I was told to look for loose rockers and had none so I’m crossing my fingers but I usually don’t get so lucky
Thank you for your response, I understand tdc I was just worried if I rotate the crank or the cam gear with them being way out of line that I’d damage the valves or bend pushrods
