    Msd Distributors 96-00 sbc Vortec

    Good choice! I’ve had my Accel distributor on for about 20 years with no problems! Same for my msd coil! When you replace the cap and rotor when it wears out, be sure you replace it with a Accel or a borg Warner with the copper contacts on the cap!

    Check Distributor cap and rotor again, when replacing,always use one with the copper contacts on the cap! I think borg Warner makes one,it’s a whole lot better than Delco! Mine was doing same symptoms as yours and that’s what it was on mine!

    Accel Billet Aluminum Distributor is a good one to use. I've been running mine for several years. Use the Accel cap and rotor too! It's got good contact material!

    IMO, Get yourself a 350 OP! You'll get more power from the extra cubes and get better fuel mlg than with the 305! The 350 won't have to work as hard!
