My mechanic says the dizzy gear is not worn. He thinks the engine gets too much gas. Maybe wrong signals from the PCM? (Already installed MPFIm checked MAF, MAP, ECT) Maybe wrong fuel pressure? I am wondering about that the problem increased creeping, as written in the beginning of this...

Seems to be a defective dizzy gear. The mechanic moved the dizzy and engine runs definitely better now. Today he will have to take out the distributor because of replacing the leaking intake manifold gasket. Anyone knows which gear is the right for my 98 Tahoe 4WD 4 spd Auto? Maybe ACCEL...

I'm getting no codes at all. Sometimes the MIL was flashing, when misfiring in exhaust.

Hi. Yes, changed all spark plug wires, cap and rotor. The wires are properly installed on the right cylinder, yes. I've got Chilton's GM Full Size Trucks 88-98 Repair Manual. The truck is currently in a garage, where the mechanic should search for the problem and also change the leaking...

@94Sierra4x4: My repair manual says spark plug gap has to be 0.045" (1.1 mm). The new plugs are gapped this way. @oohunter04oo: I would like to check the cam retard, but here the local Opel dealer hasn't got a memory card for the GM cars from North America for his Tech II Scanner :-(...
