Ok I know this thread is a little old, but I've a 350 with a few mods, and I have a 5 speed standard. I'm going to gear it...I do a lot of highway.3:73s still the best for me? I'm running 235/75/15s on front and 275/60/15s on rear.
I'm about to do some things to my truck such as vortec heads, intake, cam, and carb most likely. Will my stock 5 speed hold this or will it start breaking/tearing stuff up? If this will hold up I'm also thinking about putting a small turbo on it also..will it hold up this too?
Oh yea,I have a set of vortec heads I'm putting on it along with an intake ill order from summit whenever I actually start buying things. And I'm not against putting a carb on this motor. My only two requirements are basically just not pulling the motor out again, and not absolutely killing my...
In all honesty, I drive my truck everyday to work and back. I love pulling up next to a fox body mustang and playin.. I realized that I might want to twin turbo my truck. One reason being, have you ever seen an everyday driver 91 Chevy with twin turbos and a redneck behind the wheel? I...
Ok I've got a set of 062 vortec heads and since I'm putting a carb on my truck, I'm wondering what the cam size limit is on these vortec heads. They're factory by the way. I'm taking them to a machine shop to get them cleaned up a little basically but they have stock springs and everything. So...
I'm just gunna put a vacuum secondary carb on it. I've gotta set of 062 vortec heads that ill throw on it. Gotta buy an intake and hei distributor though. It being a speed density system I'm not gunna try and make it run great. I didn't think about it being speed density not maf.
I don't have a problem with soldering or anything like that..I mainly just need to know what year o2 sensor, if I need two since I have true duals and no cats, and if I need rear ones/one or basically what to ask for when I get back to autozone or oreillys. Lol
