GMT800 exhaust on a GMT400

Thanks for the replies. I was curious if someone had tried it. There are a bunch of stainless catback exhausts on eBay for the GMT800 for around $200. The hangers are universal. They just go wherever you want them to go by clamping on via horseshoe clamps. Main thing I wanted to know was...

GMT800 exhaust on a GMT400

Is it possible to mount a GMT800 exhaust onto a GMT400? The reason I ask is I have noticed that stainless steel exhausts for GMT800's are quite a bit cheaper. I have a 1994 GMC K1500 extended cab with the 6 lug 14 bolt.

Factory Exhaust Differences by Model

My buddies dad bought a 1988 extended cab long box k1500 5.7 liter brand new. It had a single 3 inch coming off the y-pipe but had dual 2 1/4 pipes exiting behind the passengers rear wheel. Another odd feature was that it was so low to the ground from the factory many people mistook it for a 2wd.

No brake with truck running.

Having an issue with my 1994 Sierra K1500. The brake lights all work with the truck off. If I start the truck the lights in the bed stop working. Third brake light still works. I know the bulbs are good because the hazards and turn signals work. If the truck is running with the hazards on...

4WD Not engaging

I know this is an older post but for what it's worth here's what I ran into. I did a trans swap on my 1994 Sierra. After that 4wd did not work. I checked for voltage at the harness for the switch on top of the t-case. Voltage was there. Plugged the harness back in, pulled the lever for 4wd...
